The term "national security" encompasses a wide range of disciplines and impact areas, all of which are crucial for safeguarding a nation's sovereignty, citizens, and interests from internal and external threats. The concept of national security is not limited to military defense but extends to various dimensions including energy and food security, environmental security, public health, humanitarian aid and disaster response, diplomacy and foreign policy, intelligence and counterintelligence, and trade and economics, just to name a few.
Please join us to hear about MSU's ongoing efforts to identify and address these and other national security challenges, our institutional capabilities faculty might leverage to strengthen their research, and current related funding opportunities.
