National Research Administrator Day
National Research Administrators Day is observed annually on September 25. Research administrators are the professionals who support the entire lifecycle of a sponsored project, from development and submission, to compliance and fiscal management, and who play a significant role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the university's research enterprise at both the unit and central levels.
This forum will honor and celebrate the contributions of MSU's RA community, as well offer industry-recognized (RACC) professional development credit to this group. Breakout sessions will be offered for early career and seasoned administrators as well as joint sessions for networking and updates on polices, processes, and regulations from sponsors and MSU.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided, as well as fun activities and chances to win door prizes!
Who should attend? Professional and support staff who "touch" an externally-sponsored project at any point in its development or implementation: For example: central or unit-based business managers, grants and contracts administrators/specialists, technology management specialists, research administrators, sponsored projects accountants, compliance, security, and animal resources specialists/officers, officers and project managers.
If your department would like to support this activity with door prize donations or assistance, please contact LeLe Kirkpatrick at Lele@ord.msstate.edu.
